Sup Groove Golfing fam! What a weekend in Las Vegas! Tom Kim won, taking home $1.5 million and becoming the youngest golfer since Tiger Woods to win 3 PGA Tour events. One thing that you will all see become a common theme on this page is that I hate - HATE - when golf pages feel the need to compare current pros to obscure Tiger facts instead of letting players nowadays have the spotlight. Nevertheless, an impressive feat from Kim who is an up-and-coming player on Tour. Let's do a mini breakdown here.

Obviously, Tom Kim is extremely hot right now. He isn't playing in the ZoZo Championship in Japan next week, but I am sure he will continue to roll.

Lexi Thompson, who is one of the coolest golfers on any Tour overall, almost made the cut which would've made her the second woman ever to make the cut in a PGA Tour event. The last time that happened was in 1945! She is the seventh woman to play in a PGA Tour event and she fired -2 on her last day, barely missing. Surely this will turn her game around and send her upward on future LPGA events.

Max Homa, a favorite of Groove Golfing, fired a -4 to go T20, finding some good form for the season.

According to this article on PGA's website, Ludvig Aberg went T13 even though I am almost positive he didn't even play this past weekend. Interesting.

Not the biggest names in attendance this weekend, but a few noticeable missed cuts. Rickie Fowler, who was less than impressive in the Ryder Cup, missed the cut but is one of the golfers tapped to be in Netflix's new F1/PGA crossover live event happening in a few weeks. Not sure why he is in that but we will dive deeper into that announcement in an upcoming blog.

Wyndham Clark missed the cut by a few strokes, but that is half-expected after the season he had. It's tough to find your groove when you pocket your first major championship the previous season.

Looking forward to the ZoZo Championship in Japan next week! Thanks for reading!
